Boho weddings really make my heart sing. There's something so beautiful about the raw and rustic feel they carry with them. I find there's generally a real authenticity about the wedding day and boho couples have such a relaxed demeanour about the day itself. I definitely do my best storytelling in a relaxed environment.
Merryn & Braydon's wedding will long be held in my heart as one of my favourite weddings I've ever been lucky enough to capture. There were so many laughs, so many tears. Such a beautiful connection between the families & friends. It just felt like one huge festival of love. I've been lucky enough to photograph quite a few of Merryn & Braydon's friends weddings over the years. One of the sad parts of this job for me is how much I connect with the squad from a wedding and often don't really see them again, so it's always such a tread to get to hang out with the same people again as they're in each others bridal parties over the years.
Merry's beautiful boho wedding dress was from Lost in Paris Bridal and suited her style so perfectly. Braydon definitely complimented well with his ridiculously cool Brown suit jacket and linen pants. On the topic of linen pants.. This wedding was perhaps the hottest wedding day I've photographed in the last few years.. I can't remember the exact figures but it must have been over 40 degrees and the boys were sweating through their suits before the ceremony even started. There's some pretty great photos of their pants sticking to their legs but I'll keep those private for their sake... and perhaps yours too. I'll stop rambling now and let you enjoy all the boho wedding goodness that's to follow.
