Anne & Pontus's wedding in Slovenia was one of the wildest experiences of my life. I didn't know much about Slovenia and I certainly didn't know how insanely beautiful it was. Flying over the countryside a few days before the wedding I was absolutely blown away. I think something you never quite get a grasp of as an Australian is snow capped mountain peaks in summer. Europeans I'm sure are used to seeing snow on the mountains in summer. I desperately wanted to get to get up into the mountains with Anne & Pontus, particularly because Pontus had proposed up at the top of one of them. This post is pretty long (I'll just want you now) but make sure you stick around till the end for the photos we took up the mountain where Pontus had proposed which we took the day after the wedding.

Otočec Castle like many castles in Europe has been converted into a wildly beautiful hotel now and just took the whole feel of the wedding to another level. I absolutely love photographing weddings elopements in Australia and I in no way want to spend all my time in airports as a destination wedding photographer but it's always such a treat and beautiful shift in your creative space to photograph in completely new environments like this one. I had such an incredible time at this wedding. Thank you so so much Anne & Pontus for the gift of this experience. Your wedding was one I will never ever forget.
