The Buchanan Family
I got a voice message recently from a very familiar Australian voice which almost made me drop my phone as I was listening to it. It’s not every day that you get asked to photograph Australian music & TV royalty. If you don’t know Colin Buchanan, he has 9 Golden Guitars to his credit, is an APRA and ARIA award winner, is loved by a generation of children for his role on ABC TV’s iconic Play School, is one of Australia’s most successful picture book authors and internationally acclaimed Christian children’s artist. I was incredibly humbled to be able to spend a day with him and his lovely family telling a little of their story on his wife’s birthday. It’s always an incredible privilege to be invited into someone’s home to tell their story and I was exceptionally humbled to be able to photograph this wonderful family. Enjoy the photos.

I love Colin and what’s more I love your photography style. A style I have been looking closely into the past year or so but due to spine surgery recovery I have not ventured to yet. I desire realness in portraitures, documenting the real everyday things and this right here is perfect.
